Since being on maternity leave, I’ve (occasionally!) found myself with some free time in the day. After intense bouts of mummy-ing (if that is a verb?), my brain can’t really take anything more complicated than a cuppa and something easy/repetitive. If that tea break is at 4pm, I satisfy that repetitive loop by watching Dance Moms (fight, dance, BIG FIGHT, repeat). BUT, if that tea break is in the morning, I comp. My little mister also loves anything with a tv screen, so sitting him on my lap in front of my 2 monitor PC rig will usually keep him happy and smiling whilst I enter away!
This morning started off at a standard level of eventful (let’s just say that trying to cut nails at 6am after a major poop explosion was not the calmest way to kick off the day). After a brief snooze we awoke again at 8am to a noise I’d been dreading for months. Quiet at first, so quiet that you’re not sure you’ve heard it, but as the day goes on its more often, and louder… then you realise that yep, those are definately snuffles. Eeeep!
Mama loves shopping, especially buying goodies for the little mister (…and collecting obsolete video games, but that’s another story). However, I refuse to overpay for anything. Naturally, this means I get super excited about bargain hunting and frequently drag everyone out to charity shops, carboots and the middle of no-where to collect something from Gumtree.
